Documentation for the Process Excellence Platform

How to Use the mpmX Help Documentation
All of the menu features are explained below.
Version
- The version (e.g v2.4) can be used to find documentation on your specific version of our software. Currently we only have v2.4 available here. Going forward newer versions will also be found here. Older versions of the mpmX Help Documentation

Guides
Under the Guides dropdown in the header bar you will find information on:
- industry basic concepts
- a Quick Start Guide
- the three different user role guides to help you look up information based on the role you might have in your organization
We have linked related material between the guides, in case your role overlaps multiple areas. Alternatively, you can use the search feature to easily find a specific topic.
Business User Guide
The Business User Guide is for managers, project managers, or analysts who want to see the process, filter for details, find problems, and use the insights for process improvements.
It contains information such as:
- How to use the various Dashboards and sheets
- Their use cases and benefits, how to interpret the visualizations and get insights.
- How to filter in an app, and use help, simulations and AI predictions
- How to use the mpmX Extensions to get more information and refine your insights
- Examples of how you can use process mining for customer journeys in various industries
- After you have found your insights, how to use bookmarks and snapshots for data storytelling.
Business Analyst Guide
The Business Analyst Guide is for more technical users who will be creating and configuring new apps (with event logs that have already been created) using the Import Wizard and creating new dashboards and visualizations within apps.
It contains information such as:
- How to create or edit an app using the Import Wizard, including all the configurations and what they mean
- Basic Configurations needed to quickly get started, including
- How to create a Guided Tour, a Custom Theme, a hover menu
- How to configure the various mpmX Extensions using the Properties Panel for each.
- Advanced Configurations for further features, such as the case calculator, cost calculator and customer journey implementations.
- How to create and share new dashboards and sheets
Data Engineer Guide
The Data Engineer Guide is for the back-end experts who will be set up the whole mpmX analytics environment. connecting with the data sources to gather the data, as well contains the following information:
- How to install and upgrade mpmX
- How to extract and transform data to create an event log
- How to deploy and use the mpmX Template App
- How to configure the mpmX extensions
- How to create and configure new apps and their data connections
